Access Agents |
An Access Agent is a process that handles requests in the context of an application environment. The quantity of Access Agent Authorizations required by a Customer is represented by the maximum number of Occasional OpenEdge Users plus Unknown OpenEdge Users (collectively “Quantity”) which may utilize, process requests to or otherwise access the Software operating on a single server. If a Customer runs an OpenEdge server product on multiple servers, multiple Access Agent Authorizations are required. A Customer may not purchase a single Access Agent Authorization and run the Access Agent product on multiple servers. The Access Agent model can be used to process requests for Occasional OpenEdge Users and Unknown OpenEdge Users, but not Standard OpenEdge Users. A Customer is not required to identify and count each Occasional OpenEdge User and Unknown OpenEdge User when using the Access Agent model. A Customer is only required to purchase the Quantity of Access Agents as designated above. |
